We are happy to announce our offering of $20 creative workshops all summer long at the NEPO+ Long Beach, CA Gallery! We will also be hosting poetry slam nights, film festivals, open galleries and community garden events! Our SOS Earth Day Rewind Event will be the last weekend of August the official event announcement will be coming soon so stay tuned! During this event we will highlight work from artists and musicians that participated in this years SOS Earth Day!
Here is the NEPO+ Long Beach address: 2212 N Lakewood Blvd. Long Beach, CA 90815 With every visit to our Long Beach Gallery Events, Open Mic Nights and Workshops NEPO's goal is to continue to open the conversation about environmental sustainability and spread awareness about the continued Salton Sea Restoration efforts and NEPO's ArtCupuncture Project. We hope our visitors are able to fully enjoy themselves during our creative community activities and simultaneously learn about the environmental disaster currently affecting Southern California.
This week we are offering two different workshops:
Illustration - specifically concept art / character design by exploring the styles of anime
Painting - specifically abstraction by exploring the concept of translating the participants emotions onto a work of visual art
It's Father's (Parent's) Day weekend what better way to say I love you then receiving an original painting from a loved one!

You can visit our Shop which is now open, we will be selling limited edition prints from our featured NEPO+ artists. A percentage of the proceeds goes back to helping fund future workshops overall keeping pricing affordable and the rest goes back to the artist to support their artistic endeavors.
You can continue to support Salton Sea Restoration buy purchasing an SOS Earth Day Souvenir Cup made from Recycled Plastics. Every Souvenir cup purchase will go towards funding future Earth Day Popup events. The NEPO+ Long Beach Art Studio is focused on sustainability and we like to keep our waste to a minimum buy a cup and bring it to future workshops or events and indulge in a refreshing and free water refill stations with a different flavor each time. For now we interchangeably offer watermelon, cucumber or lemon however, we are always open to suggestions!
If you would like to book a Private Painting Workshop at the NEPO+ Long Beach Art Studio whether its a damas (ladies), theydees (gender non-conforming / mixed gender), or hombres (mens) night, a celebration, or a date night we'd love to help you host! Sign-up for one of our in person painting workshops available during our regularly scheduled open gallery hours. This workshop is $30 per person for 1-1/2 hours, so please indicate how many people will be in your group (there is a 6 person limit). Please keep in mind we will need to confirm the availability of our instructors before your booking can be finalized and please allow for rescheduling in case of non-availability before purchase. Your instructor will send you an email to confirm scheduling and finalize details. All of the resources and materials will be included. An 8 in x 12 in canvas is provided however, you may purchase a larger canvas onsite if preferred. In this workshop we will be using a combination of tempera and acrylic water based paint. Please let the instructor know of any stimuli sensitivities, allergies or communication accommodations needed in your booking submission.
